Unlike many other programs, the Texas Tech Department of Geosciences utilizes an in-house laboratory manual, written by and geology students and edited by our own Dr. Hal Karlsson. This allows us to tailor our manual directly to the resources of the Department and the strengths of the program. All of the proceeds from the sale of the manual are used improve the manual, purchase additional supplies for labs, and to support geology students.

Rocks for Raiders is currently in its third edition, is available through the Texas Tech University Bookstore, Varsity Bookstore, and Double T Bookstore.
